viperware How much boost were you running? Get your car retuned on high boost (25+psi) and race him again from a 60 roll.

This is a car detailed before on PorscheBoost in an article early this year. This 997.1 Turbo is a built motor 3.8 liter example and on 16 psi of boost it made nearly 1000 horsepower to the wheels on 93 octane pump gas back in January. Well, they are starting to push it now and the numbers are going way up. With 25 psi of boost they are hitting 1300 whp in STD correction on a Dynojet. That is on E85 ethanol. Part of what is making this possible are the parts carried over from the GT3: Further details beyond the ProEFI tuning, E85, and additional injectors courtesy of SRM are hard to come by. The GT1 block (Mezger) Porsches show that they still rule the Porsche aftermarket though when it comes to big power.

Some nice domestic hardware running here although the horsepower figures are not all given. What we do know is the Mustang is a beast. It has a Paxton blower 2200 blower and is tuned on E85. Its transmission is a TH400 automatic. It moves. The D1SC procharged Camaro automatic on E85 is up first and it just gets walked. I mean it isn't even a race. The Mustang spanks it. They run three times and the result is the same each time. The Camaro tries the C7 with a cam and nitrous next. This is a good run but the Corvette edges up top. Next up is the Corvette and the killer Mustang. The Corvette puts up a decent fight but the Mustang pulls several cars up top. They try again and it's a worse beatdown for the 'Vette. A 2nd generation CTS-V with bolt ons on E85 tries the Mustang. It's an ugly beatdown. The Paxton Mustang Coyote tops them all. Now what kind of power is it actually putting down to the tires? <iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2F711610545640450%2Fvideos%2F964999660301536%2F&show_text=0&width=560" width="560" height="315" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowTransparency="true" allowFullScreen="true"></iframe>

Approaching 140 miles per hour of trap speed with a MKVII Golf R? That is insane. No, this is not the Iroz 2.5 TFSI swap in action but their 2.0 EA888 turbo upgrade. Unfortunately, they did not share a lot of specifications. What we do know is they are going for the quickest record in addition to fastest. Apparently, some transmission issues prevented a quicker pass. Either way though, this is the fastest MKVII Gold R and 136.6 miles per hour in the 1/4 mile is damn fast especially from a MKVII Golf.

Big Boost is a new player in the BMW N55 engine tuning world. They are showing what is a very strong N55 turbo upgrade offering. They have three stages the most powerful of which produces over 620 horsepower at the wheels. That is serious power out of the N55 motor. Let's look at the stages: Stage 3.1 (5459 turbo) capable of 470 whp Stage 3.2 (5959 turbo) capable of 520 whp Stage 3.3 (6159 turbo) capable of 620 whp What is included? – Cast exhaust manifold– Master Power 6159 turbocharger (7-Blade billet aluminum compressor wheel)– Wastegate mount– Turbo to intercooler charge pipe– BOV mount– Turbo inlet pipe– Big Boost down-pipe– Custom coolant pipe– Engine block coolant adapter– Intercooler inlet adapter– Oil lines Thankfully, they provide proof to match their claims. BMW 135i with flash tune @ 27 psi: BMW 135i with flash tune @24.5 psi: Tuning is done through an unnamed flash tune and flash tuning on the N55 motor is still relatively in the early stages with bigger turbo upgrades. More details on the tune as well as results on F-Series and E-Series cars would be appreciated. They price the updates starting at $4250 which certainly is competitive. As for seeing it in action, here: No 1/4 mile times or pulls but it definitely is making the power on the dyno on that F22 tuned through the factory DME along with a JB4. Fuel-It! port injection is providing the necessary fuel. Certainly good results so far and we look forward to independent results.

Starting to look at exhaust options, anyone consider this one? Still seems a bit too subdued.

Very nice gains here from the naturally aspirated second generation Audi R8 5.2 liter V10 with Fabspeed products. They offer an ECU flash tune along with their valved exhaust system and filter for a Performance Package that retails at $5995.00. What do you get for that money? Well, an additional 62 horsepower at the wheels. Torque increases 29 lb-ft but there are gains throughout the curve with the majority coming up top in the rev range: Another way to look at is 523 horsepower at all four wheels is just over 100 wheel horsepower per liter. That is phenomenal naturally aspirated efficiency. Also, compare these results to the first generation R8 V10 with similar modifications. The second generation car is slightly stronger with bolt ons but not by much and the baselines are very similar. It seems the dual clutch transmission and weight drop is really making the majority of the performance difference for the second gen car. The Fabspeed parts are clearly high quality as just look at the comparison to OEM: Oh, and just listen to the sound: Well worth the money for any R8 V10 owner to improve the sound and performance.

They are the most popular. There are others out there too. But I didn't spend much time investigating them. Here's a quick read on the Anova Gen2 vs the Joule. https://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/30/technology/personaltech/two-sous-vide-gadgets-face-off-in-a-kitchen-showdown.html?_r=0 -Rich

Subscribing to this. Added the Anova to the Crate and Barrel registry. So, maybe I can try it sometime in August haha. Might have a hard time switching the brisket from the WSM to this but I am very intrigued with steaks.
