The torque number for both the 991.1 Turbo S is 516 lb-ft at the crank although overboost is said to be 553 lb-ft which is the same as the rated 991.2 Turbo S figure. Well, the torque rating is underrated for both but the 991.2 does make a bit more torque.
The claimed crank horsepower gain is right on the money.
Look at these GIAC 991.1 Turbo S results stock and tuned:
Now look at the 991.2:
These are different Dynojets but they both are running STD correction. The 991.2 is mildly more powerful in stock form and when tuned also keeps a fairly mild edge.
The main question here will be if the 991.2 retains its performance run after run. Several tuners including GIAC commented on 991.1 Turbo inconsistency: http://www.porscheboost.com/content....de-40-whp-loss
One would venture to guess that the heat soak issue and the ECU pulling power are resolved.
