    • 2018 Audi TT-RS crushes the Porsche 718 Cayman S in a drag race

Both of these vehicles come from the same parent company yet each reflect their respective brand. The 718 Cayman S of course is a lightweight roadster and its new 2.5 liter B4 turbo powerplant produces 350 horsepower and 309 lb-ft of torque.

Here is how the Cayman S engine specs look:

      B4 2.5
      Horsepower: 350
      Torque: 309 lb-ft
      Boost Pressure: 14.5 psi
      Bore x Stroke: 102 x 76.4 mm
      Redline: 7500 rpm
      Compression Ratio: 9.5:1

      Now how about the TT-RS?

      I5 2.5 TFSI
      Horsepower: 400
      Torque: 354 lb-ft
      Boost Pressure: 19.5 psi
      Bore x Stroke: 82.5 x 92.8 mm
      Redline: 7000 rpm
      Compression Ratio: 10.0:1

The TT-RS is heavier but not by as much as you might think. The new model is lighter than the one it replaces. The difference between the Cayman S and the TT-RS is 150-200 pounds depending on whose figures you go by.

This race should favor the TT-RS on paper with the all wheel drive Audi ripping the Porsche out of the hole.

That it does. The Audi crushes it. It's almost a full second quicker to 400 meters. Too bad no trap speeds are included.

        Nope, it's very strong.

The RS3 sedan based on this may run 11's stock.
