    • Cobb revises their Porsche Macan S and Turbo ECU flash tuning software - v202 Dynojet results

Tuning evolves over time. This is no surprise and it is no surprise to see tuners continue to extract power. Especially when it is a tuner like Cobb who essentially is at the head of the Macan tuning game.

What we have here are refined OTS (off the shelf) maps. Cobb also utilized an all wheel drive Dynojet which is great to see as their previous Mustang graphs were somewhat hard to read.

      Here is what Cobb did:

In the future, this simplified tuning strategy will help to simplify tuning sessions for COBB Certified Protuners.
Now let's look at the Macan S results:

The red line is obviously stock. The torque increase with the new software is over 150 lb-ft at the wheels over stock. This tapers off toward redline and the peak power figures for both versions of software are similar but the torque hit from 2350 to 4000 rpm is larger. Great for low end grunt.

Now what about the Macan Turbo? It sees gains of roughly 20 at the wheels for both power and torque.

The Macan turbo also offers a much stronger top end pull than the S as the graphs illustrate.

Simply great work as usual from Cobb Tuning.

Wow, impressive stuff. I'm in the market for a new SUV. Been eyeing the GLC 43 pretty hard, but this makes me want to stretch for the Macaan.

Edit: Haaa. Just played with Porsche's build site. Scratch that idea. I can go with a GLC and have $50k left for a second car with that pricing.

Stretch. You'll regret not doing it.

The turbo is more than I care to pay for an SUV. Do we know if the only difference between the S and GTS is the tune? 300whp is a touch weak for a tuned number on those models, to be honest.

It isn't. There are hardware changes.

I believe I covered them in a GTS tune article.

Awesome stuff! I wish as many people bought 911's as Macans. We'd have our AP by know if they did.

It's not that. The Macan came before the 991.2

I know. I was looking at Porsche sales units by car the other day and 911 sales are very low YOY. I understand why, but I think if there was more volume COBB would be expediting it.

By the way, my dad was in the same boat as you. Eyeing the GLC43 hard but after driving both he said the Macan S/GTS are worth the money in comparison.
