    • Mcchip-DKR claims to already have a 991.2 GTS tune good for 485 horsepower

Here we go again with German tuner Mcchip-DKR. You may remember they claimed to have a 475-485 horsepower tune for the 991.2 Carrera S last year. They did not post any proof substantiating this claim.

It seems to be a habit as they are doing the same thing with the new 991.2 GTS models. They also claim 475-485 horsepower (depending on if you have sport cats or not) which is odd as they list the same power figure for the GTS as the S.

The GTS has larger turbos and already starts at a higher power level:

      9A2 3.0 991.2 Carrera S

      Horsepower: 420
      Torque: 369 lb-ft
      Boost Pressure: 16.0 psi
      Bore x Stroke: 91mm x 76.4mm
      Redline: 7500 rpm
      Compression Ratio: 10.0:1
      Intercooler: Air to Air
      Turbos: 51mm compressor/45mm turbine

      9A2 3.0 991.2 Carrera GTS

      Horsepower: 450
      Torque: 405 lb-ft
      Boost Pressure: 18.0 psi
      Bore x Stroke: 91mm x 76.4mm
      Redline: 7500 rpm
      Compression Ratio: 10.0:1
      Intercooler: Air to Air
      Turbos: 55mm compressor/48mm turbine

The GTS should gain much more than 25-35 horses. At this point, without any graphs, zero proof, and dubious claims it is hard to take Mcchip-DKR seriously.

As I'm in Chicagoland, I tried their offices numerous times, to find only excuses. Did it last year and again this year. First they had an ECU tune, then only piggyback. Turns out I haven't seen evidence of neither. Shame, shame, shame.
Almost seems that people can write whatever they want in the internets...

Exactly. Have seen nothing concrete from them.
