    • Porsche sets its sights on Tesla - Mission E testing with Model S and X in tow

Tesla is obviously the premier electric automotive manufacturer. However, the big boys are coming for for the Model S and Model X. Porsche is not being shy about setting Tesla in its sights as it tests its Mission E sedan specifically against the popular Tesla models.

If anyone can dethrone Tesla it is Porsche. The Mission E certainly looks sleeker and we all know Porsche puts an emphasis on a sporty driving experience.

What can we expect from the Mission E? The vehicle specifications are still being finalized and it is still undergoing testing but a 300+ mile range is the target. An 800 volt charger is said to give roughly an 80% charge in only fifteen minutes.

A 600+ horsepower version is expected with a less powerful base model retailing in the $85k range. Expect it go on sale sometime in 2019.
