    • 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid 0-300 kph acceleration and launch control

The Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is essentially a Panamera Turbo with an electric motor. The 550 horsepower 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 is supplemented by a 130 horsepower electric motor which of course also requires batteries making the E-Hybrid heavier than the Panamera Turbo.

How much does this electric motor help acceleration? Well, it certainly moves well despite the added weight.

The launch control system launches the car at 5k rpm and it takes off without drama. 100 miles per hour comes in just under eight seconds.

It is somewhat difficult to time based on the speedometer video but the car has little trouble getting to 300 kph (186.4 mph).

Definitely a quick car off the line.

So that is exactly what the 992 electric gauges are going to look like. Kinda cool with traditional tach.

Are we supposed to be impressed with this new 2018 Panamera Turbo when it hits 150mph in 19.2s.

        A 2012+ M5 DCT can do it in 18.3s....

M5 is quite a bit lighter (sounds funny saying that) and RWD. Not surprised it gets to 150 quicker.

The 2012+ M5 is only 200lbs lighter. This 2017 Panamera turbo hybrid has 120hp more!

The 2017 non-hybrid Panamera Turbo below gets to 150mph faster with 130hp less than this hybrid at 680hp....

Zero to 60 mph: 3.0 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 7.5 sec
Zero to 130 mph: 13.0 sec
Zero to 150 mph: 18.6 sec

        Does not compute....

No. Quite a bit more than 200 pounds. Probably 600.

Right, I was looking at the non-hybrid turbo weight at 4600lbs, the hybrid is 5000lbs....

The hybrid is still slower with 120hp more, does not make sense .....

        F10 curb weight 4200 pounds
        0-100 7.8 sec QM 11.9

Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid curb weight 5200 pounds
        0-100 7.3 sec QM 11.1

I highly doubt the F10 will outpace it to 150

        All from C&D

        2017 Panamera Turbo:

Zero to 60 mph: 3.0 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 7.5 sec
Zero to 130 mph: 13.0 sec
Zero to 150 mph: 18.6 sec

        The 2012 M5 Tested did 150mph in 18.2s/18.3s

You are missing the point though, the old M5 was just a reference. These Panameras have fallen behind the 8ball performance-wise and have never caught up. Just like they were trounced by all their competitors up to 2016, they are being trounced in 2017. —> the 2016 RS7 hits 150mph in 17.3s, a full 1.5s faster than a new Panamera Turbo....

        Gallardo LP550-2 Va.. 17.1

We need to see test numbers. Speedo videos are hard to go by as the speedo is often off slightly.

I'm sure this thing is pretty darn quick for a boat.

Weird according to the E-boost gauge it doesn't much if any electric boost in first gear where it would help it rocket off the line.
