    • A motor with individual turbos per cylinder was done back in 2006

A recent article on future motors possibly downsizing and going to individual turbos per cylinder prompted further research and the idea was done back in 2006. Owen Developments based in the UK decided to make it reality.

They did not provide many details though. Horsepower? Nope. Torque? Nope? Dyno? Nope. Video of it running? Nope.

This project illustrates the design and manufacturing capabilities of Owen Developments in this highly specialised field and is a good example of where future high performance engines may ultimately end up
Basically if you Google hard enough you'll come across a few pictures and that is about it.

This is not exactly the design that BoostAddict discussed though. While this is indeed a turbo per cylinder the idea is to go with very small turbos fit almost inside the head for maximum spool.

It is nice to see people experiment but thus far there seems to be little practical application.

That engine is still at Owen Developments.

So they never did anything with it?
