    • Mcchip-DKR to offer Stage 3 MC580 turbo upgrade for 2017 on Porsche 991.2 9A2 3.0 models

Tuning for the new 2017 on Porsche 991.2 models with the 9A2B6 3.0 twin turbo motor is progressing rapidly now that the ECU is cracked. Various tuners out there are offering tuning software for the factory turbochargers on the Carrera, S, and GTS.

As you know the GTS model utilizes the turbos from the X51 option. No doubt this will be a popular retrofit as it is factory engineered.

However, there are already turbo upgrades being developed that go beyond what the X51 kit offers. One such option is the Mcchip MC580 upgrade.

This is part of their Stage III tuning package. This is their own upgrade utilizing the factory housings and obviously the name implies 580 horsepower capability.

PorscheBoost can also tell you that another turbo upgrade is coming that is being developed (with development starting early this year) in the USA and will be tested out shortly on the PorscheBoost.com Project 991.2.

That will be the turbo upgrade to get if you are serious about performance.

Exciting stuff! What exactly is going on with that Targa in that picture? GT3 RS bumper and front panels, turbo inlet rear panels... all on a Targa body?!

I didn't even notice that was a Targa, good catch.

Guess they put GT3 RS parts on it?
