Actually I believe it is the direct injection setup. Over a certain rpm limit and it becomes very difficult to spray enough fuel into the combustion chamber in the time allotted.

Of all the things you mention, springs would be the only one which would possibly need to be changed. Valve float from the higher rpms is always a possibility. The other items have been pretty well proven out for strength with all the high hp motors. All this is predicated on just how high you want to rev it too of course..

hello all you 'BOOST HEADS"! I have to say it is in my opinion, the best looking vehicle in its class. yes the "roller" has possibly more presence and the bentley more exclusive, as both maybe, BUT, at the price that the benz will come in at, it more than likely will offset that. as well as probably a better overall car too. lets not even get into the "gizmos" either, where it will probably kill the others in that department. then you can still buy your bm/benz M/AMG model, and boost it with the change saved over buying a roller!!!! but again for how long? as technology improves, everything is old the moment it comes out, like pc's, cell phones, etc. but, well done benz, looks good and ill even wager, it drives even better too.
