Interesting...

Makes you wonder about how much custom mapping is really done from all of the vendors. You would think a fully refined and perfected FBO map would be standard by now...I really don't buy that each car is that different... "

If they don't need to be rebuilt then don't offer to send them to rob for a rebuild in your OP? lol. I would suggest making sure everything is 100% perfect for $2500. I'm interested, but no where near that price. GLWS. "

Agreed! Great choice, and can't wait to see the finished product. What size / offsets did you get? And how much do they weigh? "

Sered replied to the thread BMW F80 M3 F82 M4 S55 inline-6 ECU (engine control unit) already cracked and flashable?.
" The real question will be if you can tune it yourself (or pay a typical 3rd party tuner) or if they lock it down with the master-slave Guy Freiling cables and require all tuning to go through them. This is what has held back the S65 market for years.

This is why I wanted a Cobb unit for the S65; I'm tired of the bullshit shadow-tuner culture in the S65/S85 world. "

For export you can probably deduct 20% taxes if you were seriously considering buying this.
Very scary, it looks like it's just a regular m235i with every possible option! "

" In an attempt to try and contribute as much as I do on N54tech, I wanted to give anyone installing a LPFP a word of caution.

Specifically, you 535 guys who have to remove the plastic hose the cuts across the tank over to the drivers side from the LPFP outlet and gets replace with rubber fuel hose. MAKE SURE you use GATES submersible Fuel hose GATES part number is 27093 for 1ft of 5/16 inner diameter. You will need about 18" - 22". If you use any other fuel hose the outside layer will split exposing the braided core and the fuel will escape from the hose. This specific hose must be used. "

To go on, why install VAC springs that can hit 10k rpm(claimed by vac) when there is zero valve float with the stock springs at this power level and rpm range?
You have to factor in the bottom end as well. Piston speed and sidewall loading all factor into how much stress is applied to the bottom end. You can't just throw a built head on a stock bottom end and rev it to the moon (unless its a Honda). "
