30psi on what? LOL Super 99? GTX2876r?

Yeah, I just tried that calculator and it said 54lbs of boost required for 805BHP. Problem is it didn't even say 54lbs with what kind of turbo???? I mean 54lbs of boost on a GT4205 is a lot...

With built motors and ported and built heads just now popping up, people are only scratching the surface of what this engine is capable of. It still amazes me.

Nice find. Def looks like a ported head on an N54 might actually hurt spool while greatly increasing top end. Very interesting the differences between platforms.

well, he's saying no gains in spool are to be had from porting the head. I know all of the I4 I've worked on gain lots of spool with a ported head so the N54 must be pretty efficient to not gain any...

Maybe it's because the N54 head is so efficient but on a 4G63 a ported head will spool a turbo much faster than a stock head. Another testament to N54 engineering I guess.
video needs to be made public. It's currently private.

This is the one I run $86

I bet if you bought a GM flex fuel sensor and talked to Terry@BMS you guys could get something working for the JB4 to at least display the ethanol content in a log or something.
04-22-2015, 12:18 PM
Only one that I know of that is stand alone
04-22-2015, 12:10 PM
9180 on an N54 will be sick. I'd love to see that happen!

Your stage 3 head is going to greatly improve spool on that 6766 over someone that has a stock head and all else equal. You have any logs/graphs/dyno charts you can share of a 3rd or 4th gear pull...

Spool on your kit with the 6465 is amazing. That's why I put it on the 750-850HP line. No doubt if someone wants +750HP your kit is an amazing choice. The HTA3586r is far from maxed out at 700HP...

It's huge. I love EFR turbos but I'd like to see someone fit it in the engine bay.

CLA45 AMG is fantastic. But carries quite the price tag for an entry level Merc. F30 335xi is less. I know which one I'd chose.

I'm not that motivated LOL. That type of stuff isn't for the faint of heart.
04-21-2015, 12:22 PM
oh snap. sequential huh? that'd be interesting. good luck with that haha. too much stress for me.
I was going to say that but didn't want to jinx it hahahaha

I hope you're going to rev out that motor. No point in have a 1k RPM power band. Now if you can rev to say, 9000-9500 then that's a decent powerband for a turbo that won't spool till 6k.
04-21-2015, 12:13 PM
?? FP 4205r is a 115lb/min turbo. Doubt this platform will be ready for a turbo like that anytime soon LOL.
04-21-2015, 12:09 PM
600HP: GTX or HTA 3076r
750-850HP: 6465/6466 Comp, FP, PTE
800-900HP: FP Super 94
900-1,000HP: FP Super 99
04-21-2015, 12:02 PM
See that's what I'm talking about. People state that they wouldn't run smaller than XX size wheel on this car but.... This setup didn't make 500tq till 4100RPMS (400 RPMS later than the HTA3586r)...

Can you post a dyno sheet of a comp 6465 1.0 AR with RPMs on the axis and not speed? For comparison sake
