Enzo Performance is now Enzo Racing - A look at one of the tri-state area's top European/German tuning, dyno, and performance shops

Many of you know of Enzo Performance which was a vendor on this automotive network. The shop is now Enzo Racing: http://tunedbyenzo.com. Enzo Iadevaia who is the founder and owner contacted BoostAddict to clear the air on questions regarding the shop and direction.

First, let's start with where they are located.

Address:1139 Station Rd. Unit 1, Medford NY 11763
    Phone: 631.920.6699

Now what services do they offer? Well, it's basically a one stop shop.

    - Maintenance
    - Tuning
    - Installs
    - Custom fabrication
    - Suspension work
    - Track setups
    - Custom builds
    - Certified technicians, fabricators and specialists.
    - Latest diagnostic tools and software.
    - In house milling and turning capability.
    - Dedicated lounge area with WiFi, coffee and entertainment.
    - Mainline 1800AWD Dyno, room exhaust and controlled environment.
    - Full race prep and fabrication —tune, chassis, motor and electronics.
    - Ample and bright 7,500ft2 facility with clean floors, tools and lifts.
    - Smoke free shop and white-glove care
    - All vehicles are protected during work and always stored overnight.

Here are a few examples of Enzo Racing's work from mild to wild:

When Enzo Racing set out to create a line of upgrade packages for the Porsche 911 Turbo, the 1200R+ came to life. Actually rated at 1250hp, the 1200R+ dominates the competition, and does so with the stock drivetrain —aside from an upgraded clutch. Twin GT35 Garrett turbos power this monster into time-bending speeds all while maintaining every comfort feature found in the stock 997 Turbo. That’s a full factory interior, A/C, Audio system, Nav and powered windows and seats. Even the original 6-speed manual transmission remains untouched. The 1200R+ is a true under-the-radar powerhouse, if it weren’t for the 1200R+ badges most people would be unaware of its power, until the menacing growl fills the air upon start-up that is.

As you can see, you can go from an ECU tune to a full motor build with turbos if you like. It's really up to you, your goals, and your checkbook.

Now as far as the name change, let's cover what took place and what one can expect going forward.

Services of Enzo Racing included Dyno Sales/support/and training.
ECU tuning, Custom Fabrication, with EFI and Turbocharging as my specialties.

Often contracted to travel and tune around the world, offered track support, and tuning in Greece, Cyprus, Puerto Rico, Italy and Jamaica.

Customers set world records in drag racing. (fastest VW running 7.3) (fastest rotary 6.8) (fastest stock suspension RX7 8.6)

    Fastest 46' Skater running 190mph(boat)

7 Second Snowmobiles and many other records were accomplished out of that little shop.

From 2001-2013 i was solo as Enzo Racing. In 2010 one of my customers approached me and wanted to take me out of my small 2000 sq ft shop and build a huge speed shop. In 2013 we finally made the move and that's when enzo performance was started. I'm assuming you know what Enzo Performance was doing from 2013-2016 from the forums. Basically what i've always done at Enzo Racing just transitioned from drag/race cars to modern/exotic street cars.

    Details / Name Change.

I'm now going back to "Enzo Racing" in fact business was never closed down luckily I left it open just in case. My partner had access to some things and like most divorces people tend to be spiteful.

So my website was shutdown, emails were sent out saying I'm out of business and many rumors were started in an attempt to make it hard for me to get back on my feet.

I was able to get most of my website content back and moved to another address.

    www.tunedbyenzo.com

Luckily my phone was registered under my name so I will still have 631.920.6699 as my primary shop phone.
That should answer everyone's questions and provide plenty of details.

Those in the area looking for a performance shop should definitely take a look at Enzo Racing: http://tunedbyenzo.com/

Peculiar. I had a bad experience with this shop just this past summer. I sent my car is for a brake change and within 24 hours after the car was returned, it lost all pedal pressure and stopping ability. Instead of offering to help get the vehicle back to them, they expected me to drive the vehicle back (~35 mins and on the highway), at which point they would assess the situation. Instead of risking my life, I took it somewhere else and had another shop fix the job, which was related to the service they were paid for. Instead of doing the right thing and reimbursing me for the additional repairs, I was insulted for not bringing the car back to them and the owner was "never available" to speak with me.

I hope this is related to the bad business relationship and has been remedied with Enzo Racing.

I have no idea what to say to this.

    We'll see what Enzo says.

benzy89 I'm really sorry that happened to you and unfortunately I was unaware of many things the front office would do or not do until it was too late.

The remedy is moving forward I'm the only one dealing with customers now so there won't be anymore insults or owner never available nonsense.

If I can help you in anyway with any future repairs/ maintenance / or mods please let me know.

Enzo reached out. I understand you may not want to give the shop a chance again but maybe stop by and see for yourself how things have changed.

Appreciated. Ironically, I met you at one of the SlipStream events (think it was one of the first times the 1200+ 997 was out & about) and quickly realized that you were a standup and genuine person, which I why I sought out your shop instead of another independent shop or manufacturer service department. However, my confidence has been shaken following this situation, especially given that this was problem with a primary safety feature of the car (and arguable a routine service job), in contrast to a turbo setup not hitting the boost target. Luckily, no one was hurt and problem was remedied.

Generally speaking, it's very unfortunate that an independent shops with a reputable name in the aftermarket community can be easily ruined by rogue employees or management disputes. Undercover went through something recently and it led to complete changes in ownership and affiliated employees. In addition, this is a story we've all heard several times over. A customer trusts shop "X" with their car and pays a large sums of money with the expectation that the work will be completed as advertised, only to be taken advantage of and left with a car that's now in worse condition than when it was dropped off.
@EnzoRacing -- I will make sure to reach out when the time comes, or perhaps we'll meet up at another SlipStream event in the near future.
