    • Stock BMW F13 M6 Competition vs. stock Porsche 991.1 Turbo S highway runs

Good runs here from some very fast highway cars in stock form. We all know both can be uncorked to produce much more power but seeing the difference is stock form is useful. As a reminder, both have dual clutch transmissions and twin turbocharged motors.

The M6 of course has the S63TU 4.4 liter twin turbo V8 and Porsche has the traditional flat-6 in 3.8 liters of displacement. What is important here more than displacement is weight and the 911 Turbo is 700 pounds lighter and it shows.

The Turbo is able to open up a nice lead of several car lengths up until it shuts down and the M6 appears to be maintaining the gap.

The fourth and final run seems to be the most telling as the distance between the cars narrowed significantly. Heatsoak to blame?

I'm thinking heat soak as well for the Porsche. Good runs though.
