    • ABT sticks four Formula E motors in an Audi RS3 sedan to make a 1200 PS monster - Drag races vs. GT2 RS, R8, and a Huracan Performante

Yes electric cars are the future but for now they can not match top internal combustion engines when it comes to performance. Electric performance is evolving as Formula E shows and German tuner ABT decided to borrow from their Formula E program for a street car.

They decided to stick four Formula E motors in an Audi RS3 creating a S4eP. The S4 in the name is slightly confusing but the point is there are four motors producing almost 1200 horsepower. Torque is said to be at 944 lb-ft.

Sounds cool, right? ABT decides to drag race it against an ABT tuned R8 Spyder, Huracan Performante, and a GT2 RS.

The R8 Spyder is annihilated. Not even a race.

The Huracan does much better but also loses.

The final race is with the GT2 RS and it loses but it hangs it pretty well.

To be honest, for a claimed 1200 horsepower and almost 1000 lb-ft of torque the S4eP does not impress. Additionally, why not make things interesting and race a 1200 horsepower internal combustion car?

That definitely doesn’t seem like a 1200hp car. The Porsche seemed to get s better launch then it’s AWD counter parts as well.

what is the power to weight ratio of all the cars. 1200hp is nice but if you weigh a ton...

Wonder what modding Taycan future would look like...should be fun in its own way!

Name any 1200, 1300, 1400, etc car that can roast the tires and turn donuts within the confines of its own wheelbase.

Modding will be a challenge. BEVís are confined by the size of their battery capacity.

        Roasting tires doesn’t win races
