    • VF-Engineering Hex Tuning Porsche 991.2 9A2B6 ECU software released - Porsche 911 Carrera, S, and GTS stock and tuned comparison

Great data and results here from VF-Engineering who released their Hex Tuning software for the Porsche 991.2 9A2B6 3.0 twin turbo platform. They compiled stock and tuned results for the 911 Carrera, S, and GTS using their Mustang AWD-500-SE dyno.

BoostAddict.com utilized this same dyno for baseline PorscheBoost Project 991.2 Carrera testing as well as with the IPD Plenum. The baseline figures are remarkably similar and on 91 octane.

      Let's look at the results.

      2017 Porsche Carrera 991.2
      ALL Stock - 91 Octane

      2017 Porsche Carrera S 991.2
      All Stock - 91 Octane

      2018 Porsche Carrera GTS
High Flow Cats - 91 Octane

The tuned Carrera actually shows more torque than the Carrera S but you will notice the Carrera S carries power better past 6000 rpm. That is the benefit of the slightly larger Carrera S turbos.

The GTS with high flow cats produces an impressive 461 wheel horsepower and 436 lb-t of torque at the wheels. As it has the largest turbochargers of the three models, that of course makes logical sense and it shows what a GTS is capable of.

For context, the BoostAddict.com turbo upgrade produces another 80 wheel horsepower on top of what a tuned GTS shows on the same 91 octane pump fuel for those wondering.

The ECU does need to be unlocked if you are not local and it is sent out the same day it is received as long as it comes in early in the morning:
