    • 2020 Porsche 911 (992) Carrera S configurator launched - $114,350 base price

Wow is the Porsche 911 price creeping up and up. The 991.2 was a sizeable price bump and now the 992 Carrera S starts at $114,350.00. For reference, the 991.2 Carrera S started at $105,100.00.

The main difference is that PDK is standard so that accounts for most of the cost difference. No manuals are available to order yet.

Furthermore, once you add in necessary performance options such as the Sport Package, PDCC (which forces rear wheel steering), and Sport Chrono the price balloons to $125k without even touching any interior, exterior, and sound options.

Configure yours here and good luck keeping it under $130k with basic goodies: https://cc.porsche.com/icc_pcna/ccCa...start%2fall%2f

Well, at least its good news for 991.2 owners who were concerned about depreciation...

I built what is essentially the same car as I currently own and the retail was $120,970 for 991.2 vs $120,810 for 992

The main difference is I have the tinted headlights and taillights and they are not an option as far as I can tell on the 992

110 lbs heavier (for future 911 hybrid), faster, wider, better SPASM, better intercoolers/turbos and 4% more expensive. I'll pass ;-)

I like the car but heavier? No thanks.

Combine that with the lack of a proper PDK shifter and I'm out.

McLaren is next unless the 992.2 is spectacular.

i do like the new car. i would not sell my 991.1TTS for it but for another car in the garage as a daily driver i would much enjoy it!
