    • Custom turbocharged Porsche 997.1 GT3 sets the manual trans Porsche 911 1/2 mile record - 206.5 miles per hour

This is a very interesting build and shows what happens when you combine an efficient and high revving motor with a bit of boost. Obviously the GT3 is naturally aspirated in factory form but this one makes use of that high redline and efficiency with a bunch of boost.

A bunch of boost to the tune of over 1500 horsepower at the wheels.

What do we know about this car? Well, it is tuned on a Syvecs ECU and the engine is a built 4.0 liter variant. John Bray built the motor and Wayne Potts tuned the ECU.

      It's fast as hell:

There does not seem to be any other manual Porsche 997 or 911 for that matter in its class.

So cool. Way more power than I'd ever want, but literally my dream build. The sound and rate that it tears through gears is an eargasm.

The GT3 is a dream with a little bit of boost but the existence of the Turbo means most just go that route I assume.

Hard to beat the sound and revs here though.

Craziest part is he did it all basically one handed.
