• 2022 Porsche Boxster and Cayman models going hybrid and EV

Well, this comes hot on the tail of news the R8 will be entirely electric in 2022. The Porsche Boxster and Cayman models will follow suit except they will offer a hybrid drivetrain so there will at the very least be an internal combustion option.

The 911 will likely see the exact same development. The question is, will there be any option without a heavy electric motor and batteries? It does not look like it.

      Porsche themselves is not set:

Porsche is counting on rapid lithium-ion battery evolution but this seems like wishful thinking.

The VAG (Volkswagen Auto Group) is going to heavily push electric cars regardless after the diesel fiasco.
