    • Fabspeed Porsche 911 GT3 (997, 991) and 911 R Long Tube Competition Race Header System dyno results - +24 whp, +28 wtq

You might be saying, I thought Fabspeed already offered a GT3 header system? That is correct but this is their Competition Race Header system for all 997 and 991 GT3/GTRS models as well as the limited edition 911 R.

      What sets this design apart?

This is an off-road competition system design with a side-muffler bypass in mind. The idea is simply maximum power.

Indeed it does make power. Look at these Porsche 991.2 GT3 RS dyno results:

At 4400 rpm a nice chunk is picked up with an additional 24 wheel horsepower and 28 lb-ft of torque at the wheels.

The headers alone pick up gains through the curve but you really need a tune to maximize the hardware.

That is illustrated by this 991.1 GT3:

A tune will add another 17 whp on top of the headers for an increase in peak power of 31 total horses at the wheels.

The benefits of providing a tune with the headers are again illustrated by this 991.1 GT3 RS:

Interestingly on the 991.1 GT3 RS the majority of the gains come from the headers showing that Porsche went far more aggressive on the factory tune compared to the 991.1 GT3.

Porsche 911 GT3's are notoriously tough to squeeze power out of yet Fabspeed is picking up nice chunks of power and torque on 997 and 991 GT3's.

The Competition Race Header System retails for $5500: https://www.fabspeed.com/porsche-991...header-system/
