    • Porsche 997.2 Turbo S ditches VTG turbos for ES850 Garrett based units and makes 819 whp on the stock internals

VTG (variable turbine geometry) is great namely for the response offered on stock Porsche 911 Turbo models but if you want big power eventually the VTG's become a restriction. Sure, you have to sacrifice some spool here with the ES850 package but it not nearly as bad as you might think for the output level.

By 4k rpm the turbos are moving some serious air.

Look at these 91 octane + meth injection results:

Now take a look at 100 octane race gas + meth injection:

This is achieved on the stock internal 3.8 liter direct injected motor no less.

This is also a PDK car but the transmission is upgraded by Dodson.

Tuning by @Emre@Esmotor with some great looking curves as usual.

Interestingly enough, @Payam@BMS is hitting that torque level on his stock 991.1 VTG Turbos.

I bet it does when you combine that torque with an amazing....
        suspension...
        awd pdk...
        Chassis with rear weight bias...

Still looking for a great CPO deal on one, once 992 turbo comes out Iím sure weíll see a little movement.

thanks to Payam and Terry you can soon have a mid-low 9 sec 911 turbo thatís completely bolton and reversible in your own home garage....including the tune!
