      The third generation (PO536) Porsche Cayenne Turbo utilizes new 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 design. Porsche actually designed this motor which falls under the EA825 twin turbo 4.0 V8 engine family that now Audi and Lamborghini also utilize.


      So, while smaller than the second generation 4.8 liter twin turbo V8 it is a much more advanced design with top mount turbos in the 'V' or valley of the motor.

      The 2019 Cayenne Turbo is fast and powerful. It performs very well for its rated 541 horsepower output getting to 60 in just 3.2 seconds and through the 1/4 mile in 11.8 seconds at 115.8 miles per hour.

      That is quicker than a Jeep Cherokee Trackhawk and faster depending on whose testing you reference. Somehow Porsche's 541 horses are as strong as Jeep's 707 horses.

      It helps the Cayenne Turbo is lighter (but hardly light) at 5090 pounds.

      The SUV is not all go either it handles. It pulls an absurd .98g on the skidpad. Essentially sports car numbers. It brakes better and pulls more on the skidpad than an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. Porsche is doing some kind of dark magic to hide the center of gravity and 5000+ pound curb weight.

      Incredible numbers as they should be for the money.
