    • Independent Porsche 911 (991.2) Carrera T curb weight - 3074 pounds

There were those who questioned if Porsche would really cut a lot of weight out of the 991.2 with the Carrera T model. Well, here is the proof that Porsche delivered and that the weight loss claims were not just marketing.

This Porsche 911 Carrera T with PCCB's and a lightweight battery filled with a 1/2 tank of gas comes in at 3074 pounds:

It also has an aftermarket muffler which is a factor but the point really is that you can have a modern 911 that weighs 30XX pounds. If the owner wanted to, he could probably drop it into the 29XX pound range which is simply incredible.

For those who do not have a 991.2 Carrera T but have a 991.2 Carrera, getting the car to this weight level will not be easy but is possible. Assuming one cuts the weight to the 30XX range that is potentially a 911 Carrera that weighs 500 pounds less than a Turbo coupe model. A very large difference in the real world.

How big do you want to see? https://www.porscheboost.com/content...-Turbo-Upgrade

My trans is back from Dodson shortly. We'll go for 700+ wheel.

Tall order but if I can do that I think it more than proves the quality of the turbo kit and tuning.

I'm not completely sure. I'm guessing around 3300 due to the stupid sunroof.

I plan to do lightweight seats, remove the rear seats, lightweight battery, and sunroof delete. That should get me into the 30XX range.

I'd have to go to PCCB's and that is just too much money IMO for brakes.

Lightweight wheels coming for sure. I should be able to shave 20-25 pounds right there.

I wonder if someone like RacingBrake has a lightweight application for the 991.2 yet. Just a switch to a good two piece rotor could save a good amount of weight.

Did this car also have the optional seats?

Those seats are epic my friend has them in his T, they are $5k.

I think he said they are only available on GT cars. Pretty cool that they offered them for the T as well.
