    • SRM Porsche 991 and 997 Turbo 3.8 DFI flat-6 port fuel injection rails coming - Supplemental Methanol vs. Port injection fueling

SRM (Silly Rabbit Motorsport) will have a port fuel injection system soon available for the 3.8 liter direct injected Porsche 911 Turbo models. This includes the 991.1 and 991.2 Turbo models as well as the 997.2 generation 911 Turbo.

Pictured here are the fuel rails:

The idea here is to have proper port injection instead of relying on methanol for fuel which can lead to issues. Methanol pooling for example could be a problem.

A properly controlled port injection system is more expensive but most tuners will tell you it is the way to go.

You will need port injectors to go with this and a way to control the injectors which is something else you will see coming from SRM shortly.
