    • First Porsche 2020 992 Carrera 4S ECU flash dyno tune results - +50 awhp

The 992 Carrera 4S is pretty stout in stock form. So, a tune will truly turn it into a beast depending on the size of the turbos. ShifTech who recently cracked the ECU was able to extract a nice gain as evidenced by their results on a Cartec dynamometer.

The baseline shows 350.1 PS at the wheels. This dyno reads quite conservatively although the corrected engine power puts it right about on the money as far as what Porsche rates it. On a Dynojet expect over 400 wheel horsepower stock.

ShifTech picks up 50 PS at the wheels and torque increases by 80 lb-ft at the crank with a sizeable chunk picked up down low:

      Very solid gains.

Oddly, weaker than their 991.2 Carrera S numbers:

The dyno here is not showing a huge increase over the previous generation but test numbers have the heavier 992 running quicker and faster times.

We will need to see more results for context but what is important to learn here is there is a good bit of room to tune the 992 Carrera S or C4S.

        1. Its a brand new ECU , more gains will be found.
        2. 992 have a GPF ( OPF ) with much higher back pressure.

The GPF is a factor here but something feels off in their dyno numbers compared to previous models.

Anyway, looking forward to more graphs now that these things can be tuned.
