    • Porsche 992 Carrera S climbs the EVO leaderboard - Timed track test

More and more test data for the 992 generation Porsche 911 Carrera S continues to come out. EVO recently tested an example on their track and you can definitely say the result is respectable in the context of the EVO Leaderboard.

      How did it do?

An improvement of 1.6 seconds on the 991.2 Carrera S X51. That is a very nice jump despite the 992 being heavier.

It is .8 seconds off a 991.1 Turbo but that is to be expected. Still, for a 911 Turbo owner that must be uncomfortably close. The 992 Turbo is going to really need to raise the bar.

Interestingly EVO says the 992 felt heavy and somewhat detached despite the good time. That is not a good sign for the 992 generation.

Nice! I like the 992. Iím more surprised that the 991.1 is less than a second slower than a GTR.
Happy I just bought a 991 instead of a GTR Click here to enlarge

Was just about to make a thread!
Will have pics with the whole stable probably tomorrow.

Will be perfect addition to the CTS-V and S2000.
