    • Porsche 991.2 GT2 RS vs. tuned McLaren 600LT drag and roll races

These two vehicles are actually pretty similar. You have two cars with twin turbo 3.8 liter powerlants. They both send their power to the rear wheels through a dual clutch gearbox. The engine is also behind the driver in each although obviously the Porsche is a rear engine layout.

The Porsche 991.2 GT2 RS and the McLaren 600LT make for two of of the best track day specials on the market. They also are straightline rockets that respond well to tuning.

Speaking of tuning, the McLaren 600LT has downpipes and a tune. The GT2 RS is stock.

The first run is from a dig and the Porsche gets the better launch. Ultimately, the 600LT edges it but it is very close. Certainly closer than one would expect considering the GT2 RS is stock.

Rolling from 35 mph is more telling as the McLaren clearly is faster but not by much. The 991.2 GT2 RS comes away from this matchup looking quite strong in stock form and with a tune and exhaust work would likely easily be the faster car.
