    • A plug-in hybrid 911 is indeed coming in 2023 at the earliest with the 992.2 facelift

Porsche can not seem to make up its mind regarding a hybrid 911 sports car. Well, it seems they figured out what they want to do. Originally they stated a hybrid system is too heavy and the 992 will not come with any sort of plug-in hybrid technology.

That is true. However, the 992.2 facelift will offer a hybrid according to Porsche's CEO:

So while it is not officially approved if the CEO says he wants it you better believe it will happen. The earliest timeline for it is the 991.2 facelift in 2023.

It seems Porsche is internally struggling with the idea due to all the conflicting reports. Either way, the 992 will launch without any hybrid nonsense.

I hope not, for Porsche sake.
