    • Dinan officially relocates to APR's facility in Opelika, Alabama

Dinan is leaving the Bay Area in California for APR's massive facility in Alabama. Why? Well, because as both are a part of Performance Driven Brands the move makes sense for development from an engineering, production, and cost perspective.

You will notice Dinan abandoned their Volkswagen tuning aspirations and now will focus solely on BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Mini.

Overall, this is a good thing as one would figure APR's expertise and engineers will lend Dinan a hand.

BoostAddict also expects APR/Dinan to cover more platforms going forward.

Our existing team of engineers will be making the move and Dinan will continue to engineer high performance parts for BMW, Mini and Mercedes-Benz.

So I say you do the facility tour after the relocation.

Also I'm pretty sure taxes are more forgiving in Alabama.

If I had the money to move I would apply for that quality job at APR and move to Alabama, again. Haha

You fly to Atlanta, either rent a car to drive down, or maybe get a ride.

Quite a bit, I have been there many times for the APR Dealer/Distributor conference. On a typical trip we would take a red eye from LAX to ATL, grab a rental car. Go straight to Waffle House and eat some breakfast. Do fun $#@! in ATL such as the PEC, World of Coke, GA Aquarium. After that cruise on over to Alabama which is just a short drive down the road. There are year round fireworks stands, Opelika is right next to Auburn (Tiger Town) and plenty of great college bars and things to do. Right next to APR is the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, with some pretty bomb ass golf courses to play. There is some darn good places to eat food, wide open roads to drive pretty fast on, and of course the cool cats that all work at APR.

Ok and how about women? I'm not a golfer.

I do like good food and drinks though.

The women around Auburn University are very friendly and on par with any other college town I have ever been to.

Frequented the Sky Bar, the Hound, and the Supper Club, no issues with the women at all.

I'm gonna do it. I've never even been to the South unless Texas counts.

I could make a pretty good road trip and vid of the whole thing I think.

Would make a great blog. APR is a pretty amazing facility. Definite eye opener. It is hard to put into words the potential that exists under their roof.

I'd think it has more to do with taxes and the acquisition by Performance Driven Brands thinking paying for two facilities makes little sense.

        Probably a combination of factors.
