    • 2018/2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS (991.2) specifications leak

It is not going to be easy to improve on the 991.1 GT3. It already has a 4.0 liter motor revving to 9k rpm and it makes 500 horsepower. With the 991.1 GT3 RS Porsche offered a displacement increase to get more power and torque over the standard 991.1 GT3.

This time around the displacement stays at 4.0 liters and power goes to 520 or 513 depending on how you measure your horses:

      513hp/383kW at 8250rpm
      339ft-lbs/460Nm at 6250rpm
      3.2 second 0-100kmh (0-62mph), top speed 312km/h
      9k redline
      PDK only
      Debuting at Geneva in March

PDK only for maximum track times on the RS model is no surprise. Frankly, this car is a GT2 RS with the GT3's naturally aspirated powerplant from the looks of things.

All the credit in the world is deserved at Porsche for preserving the naturally aspirated powerplant and letting the consumer choose what flavor of 911 they want.

It probably still cant beat a Turbo S with the same tires on it around a track.

The Turbo S just uses its muscle and traction advantage in certain situations. The lighter GT3 RS definitely is more capable and feels more like a race car.

Imagine if it had turbo power... well, you can, with the GT2 RS.
