    • Sport Auto: Porsche 911 GT3 (991.2) vs. McLaren 720S Best Handling Car 2018

Sport Auto if finally trickling out videos of their Best Handling Car 2018 competition. Their latest video pits two of the best in the business against each other, the Porsche 991.2 GT3 and the McLaren 720S.

So which one is quicker around the track? That would be the McLaren.

The fact the GT3 is so close when being down on so much power is a testament to the suspension.

Additionally, it is important to point out these days that a raw laptime does not tell you which car necessarily handles better. Yes, it tells you which is quicker around the track but it does not tell you how the car feels getting around that track.

It certainly will be interesting to see how Sport Auto ends up ranking the field.

What a stupid comparison. Sure put the GT3 up against something with probably 300whp more. The GT3 is the clear winner here though, down only 0.52sec. McLaren should be ashamed of themselves, what an embarrassment. With that kind of hp advantage it should be 12sec faster. Whoever designed the suspension should be drawn and quartered.

GT3 is still a better handling car, and probably preferred on track by 9/10 enthusiasts. Same for the FGT.

You don't understand. This is their whole field: https://www.boostaddict.com/showthre...dling-car-2018

They aren't going by laptime solely.

LOL seriously? Come on. Have you driven any modern McLarens? I can't believe how comfortable the suspension is yet the limits it provides.

This is a tight track too. Clearly the emphasis is on handling over power.

If you watch the vid closely, the P driver steered/adjusted more. I believe 720S handles better as well.
