    • Before and after Syvecs tuning on a built motor Porsche 997.1 Turbo at AIM Performance - 1158 whp

Why go to a standalone ECU? Well, for more capability. A tuner gets flexibility and does not have to worry about trying to make the factory computer comply with various modifications. Essentially, one gets a more sophisticated engine management computer with all areas unlocked.

Check out the results with a Syvecs S6Plus ECU on this 997.1 Turbo at AIM Performance. It was remote tuned by @Emre@Esmotor:

Great gains, right? This already powerful 997.1 Turbo goes from 1083 horsepower at the wheels to 1158.

It's really the torque curve that tells the story though as look at the area gained from 5000 rpm to redline. A much, much stronger top end on the example with Syvecs tuning.

As for the complete mod list:

      - Built 3.9 liter
      - Ported heads
      - Upgraded cams
      - GT3 intake manifold
      - AIM GT35 turbo kit
      - AIM Fuel system
      - Syvecs S6 Plus
