    • TPC Racing offering a weak Porsche 991.2 3.0 turbo upgrade they claim can do 550+ horsepower

This is a somewhat amusing video. Why? Well, for one you would think TPC Racing would know to title their video 991.2 and not 991.1 Carrera turbo upgrade. The 991.1 models obviously were not turbocharged so seeing such a basic mistake is embarrassing. It's even worse when Michael Levitas calls it a 997.2 turbocharger in the video intro.

Secondly, compared to the BoostAddict.com turbo upgrade for the platform TPC is offering an inferior upgrade.

Michael Levitas states the factory turbos will not do over 500 horsepower but only about 430 horsepower. That is false. BoostAddict.com hit well over that number with race gas on the factory turbochargers. Clearly they did not explore the limits with tuning or do not have the ability to properly tune.

Furthermore, the BoostAddict.com compressor and turbine wheels are larger. TPC states they will give you 550 to 600 crank horsepower. The BoostAddict.com upgrade will do that at the wheels and then some.

TPC Racing does not show any dyno results, no demo cars, and nothing that even proves their upgrade is installed and tuned.

Rest assured, BoostAddict.com is not playing around. We intend to prove our upgrade is the most comprehensive, highest quality, and that it blows everyone else out of the water.

Is he saying 4mm larger turbine or 10% larger ads 33% more “swallowing power”? Is he saying swallowing power is intake/compressor?

Aren’t there three different turbos for 991.2 Carreras?

Also did he say they are bolting these turbos on now without tuning? That seems crazy. Relying on factory tune to compensate for extra boost this would provide and would just figure out what it needs in fuel and timing? “Once the tuner is ‘out’ there”...

Seems like they’re admitting without saying that it’s the same factory turbo(which one of the three?) but different wheels?

No way would I buy anything based off that bull$#@! video or what he is saying and I suspect no one else will either.

Honestly, his numbers seem to be way off. He didn't make much sense.

        Indeed there are.

Ya that isn't going to do much. I'll show what the BoostAddict turbos did bolted on with no tuning. It wasn't much.

Or just a search TPC Racing's past. They are well known for blowing direct injected motors with their turbo kits.

        Very poor reputation: https://www.ripoffreport.com/reports...overst-1246003

Just search any Cayman/Boxster forum: http://www.planet-9.com/987-cayman-a...o-install.html

Constant problems since TPC turbo install
Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone else has had lots of problems with their cayman since they had the TPC turbo installed? My turbo has blown seals and bearings 3 times now, and then the last few days I've had a lot of smoke coming out of exhaust. I've had it in and out of shop and they keep saying they can't find nothing wrong, but the mile long tail of smoke tells me otherwise! Also at start up the smoke is so bad I can't even see out the rear window!

Really impressed with the endless stream of pseudo jargon emanating from his mouth.

Not. one. hesitation. Question is, will the Viagra crowd swallow this up ?

Hes not presenting the correct numbers, sizes or results, but why let the facts get in the way.

Maybe on the third try they'll figure out it's for a 991.2?
