    • Porsche investing 6 billion Euros in electrics and using dealers as charging network for Mission E Sedan

Electrics are the future and Porsche is betting heavily on them. How heavily? To the tune of a six billion Euro investment by 2022. 500 million of that money is just for Mission E sedan variants so Porsche will be pushing their Tesla rival hard.

On paper the specs look great with 600 horsepower available and a range of 500 kilometers. How much will it weigh though?

The car will only take 14 minutes to charge up to a 400 kilometer range thanks to an 800-volt system.

Building a network of charging stations able to supply the desired juice will not be easy and that is a major area of investment. Porsche is starting in the logical spot, with their dealer network.

How many years does the internal combustion motor have left?

In the new car market, thirst world country and in a big city definitely the count down has begun , but I cant see the combustion engine going anywhere as it does serve a purpose especially in places like Australia where electricity is super expensive.

I've been eyeing a tesla for a while now for everyday use, just waiting on the technology to mature before I jump on the wagon.
