    • Cobb teases 991.2 Accessport handheld tuning support with a 670 awhp Porsche 991.2 Turbo S

Handheld OBD-II tuning support for the 991.2 generation Porsche 911's is coming soon. The Cobb Accessport is of course the most awaited due to Cobb's reputation and the quality of the Accessport product itself.

Mitch McKee who is one of Cobb's engineers posted this teaser to social media. It shows incredible number on the 991.2 Turbo platform. They hit 670 horsepower to all four wheels on a Mustang dyno.

Now, it would seem that dyno is corrected as if not nobody else is close to that output on the factory turbochargers. You can see baseline, bolt on, and tune numbers on a Mustang dyno for the 991.2 here.

Regardless, we are getting close to the release. Soon 991.2 owners will be able to switch maps at their leisure in their garage and get remote tunes. The ECU will have to be unlocked physically first though.

How does this compare to the tuning you are getting at gintani? Will gintani use the Cobb handheld to tune people's cars?

It's hard to compare this Turbo S to my car due to the dyno variance.

Basically a 991.2 Turbo S is 480 whp on the Gintani dyno and 630 whp with full bolt ons.

I'm at 530 or so right now and we're stuck due to the spark which will be resolved at some point.

I'd LOVE to make over 600 whp on the Mustang and crush 991.2 Turbo owner egos.
