    • Project 991.2 Carrera dyno results with BoostAddict.com Stage 1 turbos and Gintani tuning on 91 octane pump gas and 91 + meth

As you might recall where we left off was with Gintani tuning the PorscheBoost.com Project 991.2 Carrera with E85. As you know, the car has the BoostAddict.com Stage 1 991.2 3.0 turbocharger upgrade on it and Gintani is providing the tuning for the hardware.

Well, Alex at Gintani decided to exceed all expectations and really refine the 91 octane tune to drop some jaws not only as to what the turbos are capable of but as to his tuning ability.

On 91 octane pump fuel he hit 518 horsepower to the rear wheels. With meth injection only for cooling, not used as fuel, the car hit 539.6 and let's just round it up to 540:

Just how much power is that? Well, here is a Lamborghini Huracan and a Gallardo Super Trofeo:

      Here is a C7 Z06:

As for where the crank horsepower is between 610 and 650 horsepower you can decide that on your own.

The point is this car is making a ton of power on 91 octane with the BoostAddict.com Stage 1 Turbo upgrade and Gintani's tuning.

For those asking how the car is making more horsepower on 91 octane and meth than E85, the spark plugs like gasoline better in the 23.5-24 psi range and going past that causes issues with E85.

We will see what VP110 tuning provides shortly.

Alex at Gintani will get some on race gas he says. He wants to race some cars but everybody is chickening out...

I'll hit the strip with it but California times suck so it's almost pointless.

Don't you want to see race gas numbers? We might crack 600.

I'm curious about racegas, but I've always been more interested in what the car will run and put down on what it will be running 99.9% of the time. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the platform takes to and puts down the additional power at the strip. Do you plan on running it on OEM tires or drag radials? I'm assuming the PDK tune is still stock at this point?

I'll run drag radials on the strip.

        PDK is stock.

This is just the beginning too, the car only has a y-pipe and bypass pipes so there is more room for improvement when you go plenum and intercoolers.

Would also like to see your car on scales to validate a power to weight, it’s going to be absurd.

Any reason you haven’t got any aftermarket headers?

Onky a few options and I believe the design I will run and sell will be superior.

Nah. Headers would be next if it was me. 600 whp on 93 is doable.
