    • Cobb gets over 600 whp out of the BoostAddict / Tial Sport 991.2 3.0 turbo upgrade

As you likely know Tial Sport machines the turbochargers for BoostAddict.com and the BoostAddict Stage 1 991.2 3.0 turbo upgrade. The BoostAddict package includes software tuning from Gintani but Cobb is also another option for tuning and with the upcoming Accessport pro tunes will no doubt be popular.

This test car was tuned by Cobb but it also has the upcoming upgraded 9A2B6 intercoolers and inlets which will be part of the BoostAddict Stage 2.5 package.

Cobb was able to get a shade over 600 whp out of the car on the World Motorsports Mustang Dyno which is corrected to read like a Dynojet. Fuel is a 91/100 octane blend:

The horsepower curve is a stark difference over stock and goes to show the top end punch the upgraded turbos provide. Whereas the factory turbochargers fall off well before 7000 rpm with the turbo upgrade one can really make use of the 7500 rpm redline. Maybe even a raised redline with tuning.

Cobb revved the car out to 7250 here but they have more rpm to play with.

We may do a dyno comparison between the two test cars in the future with both on the same dyno but a real world acceleration comparison may be more appreciated. Ideally, we will do both to show off the turbo capability as well as the intercoolers and inlets.

Nice results, the graph looks like they only revved to 7k though, the line stops short of 7250 so thats even better because the torque doesn't look to be dropping off much at all so power should be significantly higher by the time its at 7500.

From what I understand they revved it as far as the PDK would let it.

COBB's PDK tuning no doubt will make a big difference.

Im wondering what becomes the weak link at these power levels? Can the PDK handle this, axles, etc?

I don't think there is a weak link here.

If it's the axles we'll find out when I hit the strip but I doubt it.

I think the car can take 600 whp all day long.
