    • Porsche 997.1 GT2 hits 870 rwhp on the stock internals and runs 60-130 in 4.7 seconds

The 997.1 generation Porsche GT2 (there was no 997.2 or 991.1 GT2) is a very special vehicle. It is manual only unlike the current 991.2 GT2 RS and it does not have direct fuel injection but port injection and the classic Mezger block.

It is a stout race inspired motor as you can see by the 870 rwhp this example is making:

That power comes courtesy of Tial XR980 turbochargers tuned through the Cobb Accessport. Supplemental methanol injection is also utilized along with your typical bolt on mods.

The dyno type used we are not sure of but for context a 991.2 GT2 RS produces 683 horsepower to the wheels on a Dynojet. Let's just say the difference between these two is ~200 wheel horsepower.

The 997.1 GT2 of course does not benefit from a dual clutch so the driver is a big factor but it certainly is quick with 60-130 coming in 4.79 seconds:

A very rare and very powerful 911 that definitely will demand a driver's attention with this level of power.

Are the internals different on a GT2? Rods/crank/Pistons? Compression ratio?

Same 9.0:1 compression ratio. No idea on the internal differences but I'd assume some.
