    • AIM Performance built Porsche 997.1 Turbo tops 1000 whp with Xona 6564 turbos and Syvecs ECU

The 3.6 liter Mezger/GT1 blocks are still the way to go for big, reliable power in the Porsche world. The engine is race proven and port fuel injection means fueling is not as big of a concern as with the newer direct injected 911 Turbo motors.

AIM performance built this engine to handle over 1000 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. They added a pair of Xona Rotor 6464 turbos and tuned it on a Syvecs standalone with Q16 fuel:

Quadruple digit horsepower and torque. The only downside to these Mezger Turbo motors is they are not paired to a PDK transmission.

I'm assuming that it's rwd converted to handle that insane amount of torque?

Not sure but a fair assumption.
