You likely saw the article last week showing Fabspeed hitting an impressive 758 rear wheel horsepower on the dyno with their 991.2 GT2 RS project car. Well, the parts necessary to get there are now officially released and Fabspeed has a suite of parts for your GT2 RS depending on your goals. ...Published on 02-11-2019 08:21 PM
Yes, the McLaren 720S is the current champion slaying everything in sight including the Porsche 911 GT2 RS. You may have noticed a handful of GT2 RS 991.2's being tuned recently showing some very impressive gains. ...Published on 02-10-2019 06:52 PM
You should be familiar with this McLaren 720S which is stock and it put up some impressive numbers on Toyo R888R's on the dragstrip. It runs a VTG upgraded 991.1 Turbo S as well as a yellow ES850 upgraded 991.1 Turbo S which recently set the 1/2 mile stock internal 991 Turbo record. ...Published on 02-09-2019 06:53 PM
Just in case you need more evidence that the 720S is absurdly fast he is a real world pull against what is a quick car in the form of a 911 GT3. The GT3 is naturally aspirated and not a straightline racer. It can hold its own on the roadcourse though even against the mighty 720S. ...Published on 02-08-2019 10:33 PM
This seems like clickbait from Automobile who is known to put out unsubstantiated articles. We know naturally aspirated flat-6 power is coming to the 982 chassis. This will be in the form of a 3.8 liter flat-6 that is likely a GT3 derivative as Porsche does not produce any other naturally aspirated flat-6 architecture currently. ...Published on 02-08-2019 06:32 PM
You may recall a PorscheBoost article from a couple weeks back showing Fabspeed working on a 991.2 GT2 RS and developing a race exhaust. This race exhaust does not have catalytic converters or valves. It is all business and sounds amazing. ...Published on 02-08-2019 05:43 PM
Remember California Assembly Bill 1824? As a refresher, if a Police Officer thinks your exhaust is too loud you get a mandatory $1000 ticket instead of the old fix it ticket. Well, you are not the only one who thinks the policy is just a government overreach to grab cash. ...Published on 02-05-2019 05:01 PM
Many sites are posting this information based off a rumor but considering Porsche already put this motor into multiple 718 Chassis' themselves it is an easy rumor to bank on. Odds are we will see both a 718 Cayman GT4 and Boxster Spyder with a 3.8 liter detuned GT3 flat-6 derivative. ...Published on 02-02-2019 10:11 PM
This year's list is a couple of weeks late but this actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise with some major automotive performance debuts and achievements taking place just in time to sneak onto the list. Feel free to check out last year's best and worst of automotive performance list. ...Published on 02-01-2019 05:02 PM
As you know AIM Performance set a new 991 Turbo standing 1/2 mile record with an ES850 kit tuned by @Emre@Esmotor. It certainly is an impressive result for a stock internal 3.8 Porsche flat-6 on the factory stock PDK transmission and the stock fuel system. ...Published on 01-30-2019 08:26 PM
This is a bold claim to make with literally zero proof to accompany it. That is why PorscheBoost is calling the claim out because no VTG (Variable Turbine Geometry) turbo upgrade produces over 1000 horsepower. The closest example would be the Tial VTG upgrade PorscheBoost member @Markblackwell is running. ...Published on 01-29-2019 03:06 PM
