    Hydra Motor Works Tune Today

As promised I wanted to give my personal review of Hydra Motor Works today located in west palm beach FL.
Appointment was for 10am Thursday, showed up a bit early and I was greeted by Bobby and Mike who then offered to give a tour of their business. The shop was very clean and organized. I thought wow, finally a place not rushing to get you out the door and just take my money. They were both very friendly and very knowledgeable. They then introduced me to their techs there and we further discussed further modifications down the road, left my key and went to kill some time. About 2 hours later they called informing me the car was ready so I finished up lunch and headed back.
Me and booby took it for a test run to check out this new found power and let me tell you the car is nothing short of Fantastic, holy !@#$%T^Y&U*IO
After leaving the shop I did a bit of spirited driving and this car is a total animal now!! The tune feels just like factory smooth but A lot faster and responsive, I couldn't be happier...
For anyone looking to get a really good tune for the 991.2 I Highly recommend Hydra Motor Works, these guys know there stuff...

Nice. Do you have any dyno numbers? I assume it is on 93. Did they unlock your ECU or did you that completed before you arrived?

They had a Hellcat on the dyno that day so they just unlocked the ECU and tuned him. He was quite happy with that from what I heard.

I spoke with their tuner for a while yesterday. Very knowledgeable! I'd be quite confident handing my car over for them to tune.

Ok I finally made it home and the drive was very cool considering I didnt get any tickets.. Sorry I didnt make some of the details more clear so allow me to try again. Yes, I had them remove the ecu and they loaded their ots tune. Mike and Bobby are top notch guys and I would refer them to anyone. This ots tune totally transformed the car and like I said before it is smooth as stock... Well worth the money for the gains and keep in mind I have zero bolt-on's at this point...

What else would compliment this tune that would make power? I was thinking a bmc filter and or 200 cell high flow cats? Anyone have any reviews of these other options?

Well the exhaust is a great place to pick up power. Headers, sport cats.

A filter isn't a big deal but you can pick one up. They are not expensive anyway.

Really what you will want for power next is exhaust mods. That is most complimentary. You will want intercoolers too don't forget.

Agreed. Biggest place to free up some power is with your cats or a bypass pipe.

I put a filter on my car also, but honestly it cost more to put it on then the filter costs, might as well do it at the same time as the intercoolers to minimize redundant labor costs.

Just so I understand, doesn't the by-pass pipes delete the muffler completely and if so how much louder in the cabin is the noise? I have the pse...

No, they're called bypass pipes, but they should more accurately be called cat delete pipes.

They just bridge the turbo hot side and the PSE.

The volume isn't bad in the cabin. With the valves closed, I would say the car is only 10% louder, with them open, 20%. Its substantially louder outside though

Bypass pipes will throw a code but Hydra can take care of that.

Sport cats won't throw a code.

My 2cents on the filter. Porsche uses BMC on GT3 and all RS cars.
