Cobb revising Porsche 991.2 9A2B6 3.0 OTS tunes and offering map switching for Sport Chrono equipped cars

Some good news from Cobb on the Porsche 991.2 9A2B6 3.0 tuning front. They are revising their OTS maps (which is good news for those who had driveability issues) and also set to offer switching of power levels for Sport Chrono equipped cars.

Cobb was not clear if this means separate maps or just differences in timing/boost.

The reason this would apply to Sport Chrono cars is Porsche out of the box already changes tunes based on what mode you are in. You have your standard, Sport, and Sport+ modes.

Cobb is likely modifying whatever map is triggered by switching these modes. Does this mean you could switch to a race gas or E85 mode just by twisted the knob on the steering wheel?

    Hopefully Cobb clarifies this further.

I'm surprised they're having drivability issues on so many p-cars... I skipped tuning the macan for that reason, but was pretty surprised that Cobb would consider this an acceptable product to release for cars of this caliber.

Are the issues attributed to Porsche tuner experts leaving and starting their own tuning company?

Losing their main Porsche guys to Dyno Spectrum obviously had a huge impact.

Plus, Cobb got mad at me for pointing out some people had issues. They should have focused on fixing them then hoping I wouldn't mention them.

Not everything but it's certainly a factor. You can't lose your best Porsche guys and expect the quality to not decline.

I think it's mostly from the OTS maps. I haven't heard those issues with custom tunes through cobb.

The custom tunes are pretty good for the most part depending on the tuner. 991.2 3.0 tuning is not equal across the board a lot of tuners are struggling.

It is the OTS maps mostly as you said.

If you already have Cobb AP then the best choice is Dyno Spectrum.
